A brow tint changes the visible colour of your brow hairs. Brow lamination changes how the hairs sit, helping them appear smoother, more lifted or fuller. If you want both direction and colour, you can combine lamination with tint and add a shaping wax.
The easiest way to choose is to identify what bothers you when you look at your brows: missing definition, unruly direction, an uneven shape, or a combination of all three.
What does brow tint do?
Brow tint adds temporary colour to the brow hairs. It can make lighter hairs easier to see and create more definition through the natural shape.
Tint does not permanently change the direction of the hairs. If your brows already sit how you like but look pale or disappear without makeup, tint may be all you need.

What does brow lamination do?
Brow lamination uses professional products to soften and set the brow hairs into a chosen direction. The finish can be brushed-up and fluffy or smoother and more controlled, depending on your natural hair and preference.
Lamination does not add missing brow hair. It works with what you already have, making the existing hairs easier to arrange into a groomed shape.
If colour is also important, choose a lamination option that includes tint. If the outline needs refining, choose lamination with tint and wax.

How long are the appointments?

Appointment times allow for consultation and the steps included in that service. Book the complete combination you want rather than expecting tint or waxing to fit into a lamination-only time.
Which looks more natural?
Either treatment can look natural. The result depends on the colour choice, how the hairs are styled and what you request.
Tell your therapist if you dislike a very dark tint or an intensely brushed-up brow. Bringing a reference image can help, but remember that another person's natural brow density and growth pattern may be different from yours.
The aim is a result that works with your features rather than copying a trend without adjustment.
Can you have tint without lamination?
Yes. Tint is a useful stand-alone service when colour is the main goal. It is also commonly paired with a brow wax when shape and definition both need attention.
Can you have lamination without tint?
Yes. Lamination can be booked without tint if your brow hair is already dark enough or you prefer the natural colour.
What should you tell your therapist?
Before treatment, mention:
- previous reactions to tint, lamination or hair colour
- current irritation, broken skin or sunburn around the brows
- strong skincare used near the brow area
- recent facial waxing, peels or cosmetic procedures
- the finish you prefer
This information helps the therapist check suitability and choose a sensible approach. A beauty treatment should not proceed over actively irritated or broken skin.
How do you prepare?
Arrive with the brow area clean where possible. Avoid experimenting with a new strong exfoliating product immediately before the appointment.
Do not trim or reshape the brows at the last minute if you want your therapist to assess the natural growth. If you have a specific concern, let the hairs grow until the appointment and discuss it first.
What is the aftercare?
After lamination, follow the instructions provided by your therapist. You will generally need to keep the area dry and avoid excess heat or heavy products for the initial period explained at your appointment.
Tint aftercare is simpler, but strong cleansers, exfoliation and frequent oil exposure around the brows can affect how long the visible colour lasts.
Brush laminated brows gently into place once your therapist says normal care can resume. Do not repeatedly force them into a shape that feels uncomfortable.
