Which Facial Is Right for Me?

A practical guide to choosing between a Thalgo spa facial, advanced facial, LED treatment or longer ritual at Manava Beauty.

The right facial is the one that matches how your skin feels now, the kind of experience you want and the amount of time you have. At Manava Beauty, you do not need to diagnose your own skin or understand every ingredient before booking. Start with your main priority, then let your therapist confirm the most suitable treatment when you arrive.

Start with the result you want

It is easier to choose a facial when you describe the outcome in everyday language. You might say:

  • My skin feels tight and dry.
  • I want to look fresh before an event.
  • I am noticing congestion or breakouts.
  • My skin feels sensitive and easily unsettled.
  • I am concerned about dullness or the appearance of fine lines.
  • I mainly want to switch off and be looked after.

These descriptions are more useful than trying to select a treatment from ingredients alone. They give your therapist a clear starting point while leaving room to consider what your skin is showing on the day.

Choose a Thalgo spa facial for hydration and relaxation

The Thalgo menu is a natural place to begin if you want marine skincare, massage and a calm spa experience.

The Thalgo Illuminating Radiance Facial is a 45 minute option for clients who want a shorter relaxation-focused facial and a fresher-looking finish.

The Thalgo Marine Facial allows 60 minutes for a customised facial using Sève Bleue des Océans, algae oil, massage and a selected mask. It is a useful first booking when your priorities include hydration, comfort and time to relax.

The Thalgo Hyalu-Procollagène Facial is also 60 minutes. It combines marine pro-collagen, hyaluronic acid, dermal rollers, a marine mask and a specialised massage technique. It is designed to support hydration and improve the appearance of smoothness and fine lines.

Choose an advanced facial for a more focused goal

Advanced facials use selected Image Skincare products, exfoliating ingredients and, in several cases, LED light therapy.

The Anti-Aging Enzyme Facial with LED is a 45 minute treatment for clients wanting a layered enzyme treatment with LED and no planned downtime.

The Vital C Antioxidant Facial is a 60 minute customised facial using selected enzymes, AHAs and antioxidants. The 75 minute version adds LED light therapy.

The Biome Restore Facial with LED is designed for dry, sensitive or compromised-looking skin. It combines barrier-supporting ingredients with a calming LED step.

The Be Clear Facial with LED is a shorter clarifying option for teens and adults concerned about congestion or breakouts.

The Lightening Lift Peel is booked with Natalie and requires consultation and skin preparation. Do not choose a professional peel simply because it sounds stronger. Call the salon first so Natalie can confirm whether it is appropriate and explain the preparation.

Choose a ritual when the experience matters as much as the facial

Rituals are for days when you want more than a standard facial appointment.

The Renew Ritual combines an enzyme facial, LED, a collagen eye treatment and hot stone arm massage.

The Collagen Glow Ritual combines the Hyalu-Procollagène Facial with LED, hot stone arm and leg massage, and warm towels on the feet. It is the most expansive facial-led ritual on the menu.

The Bliss Package combines a hot stone back massage and Pure Fiji back exfoliation with a hydrating facial and rose quartz rollers.

If your real goal is uninterrupted time and whole-body relaxation, a ritual may suit you better than choosing the most technically advanced facial.

When should you add LED?

LED light therapy is already included in several advanced facials and can be added to selected appointments. It is a non-invasive supporting step, but it still needs a suitability check.

Tell the salon about relevant medication, light sensitivity or health considerations before treatment. If you are unsure, read our LED light therapy guide and call before booking.

What if you still cannot decide?

Choose a 60 minute Thalgo Marine Facial or contact the salon before booking. Both Natalie and Paigh perform the full facial menu except the Lightening Lift Peel, which is booked with Natalie.

A consultation at the beginning of your facial is part of good treatment planning. Your therapist can discuss your current routine, recent treatments, sensitivities and goals. If another service would be more suitable, they can explain why in plain language.

Think about timing

Do not try a completely new intensive treatment immediately before an important event. If you are preparing for a wedding, holiday or photography session, book early enough to learn how your skin responds and create a simple plan.

Regular facial timing is personal. Some clients enjoy a four to eight week rhythm, while others book seasonally or when their skin and schedule need extra attention. The best plan is one you can maintain comfortably.

Before you book

Have a list of the skincare products and prescription treatments you use, especially retinoids, exfoliating acids or products that have recently caused irritation. Mention recent peels, waxing, cosmetic procedures or sun exposure.

This information is not about being judged. It helps your therapist make safer, more appropriate choices within the booked appointment.

You can compare every current treatment on our facials in Gerringong page, then book through Square when you are ready.
